Mass Regression and Confusion

Regression, regression, regression...

Today, the girls woke up at 5 something, so I knew it was going to be a rough day! We played outside and ventured to Walmart, but didn't do much else afterwards. Aunt Annie brought over clothes for the children that someone gave to her for us, which was so nice. People are always giving us free clothes for the kids, and I take em! I am so grateful.

Haleah fought me about napping in the Big Girl Bed but I held the line on that when she was hoping for her crib. I said, "You don't want to be in a 'cage', do you?"

And she learned a new trick---how to put on her own diapers. Uh, oh! I was on the computer today and Haleah came skipping happily into the room. I looked at her and she had taken off her underwear and put on a diaper to pee in, instead of going to the potty. She did it again later in the evening tonight and I literally had a Tug O' War with her holding the diaper! It was ridiculous. Tantrums ensued and we were all pretty upset.

I talked to my sister-in-law, and she said "hide the diapers." I hate to do that, because I have let Haleah poop in them, but it's going to have to come down to that. I don't think that I can give in to her. Tonight she asked for a diaper to poop in but never pooped. So she is playing me now... We are already on the potty training track and I don't want to go back!

Another struggle is what to do when we go to Walmart, for instance. Do I chance it that she is going to have an accident in her undies and can't hold it? I don't want to have the Pull Ups as a crutch, but at the same time, I don't want to be paralyzed with fear about finding a potty when we go out. What to do?

Confusion, confusion, confusion...
